It has been another exciting and busy week at Sunbeams. The children got stuck in helping to prepare our two Sunbeams scarecrows for the Surlingham village/FOSS scarecrow trail – what do you think of the jolly looking pair?
The children at Sunbeams received a visit from Mrs Steward the Early Years teacher at Surlingham Primary School, they had a lovely time getting to know each other and sharing some of our lovely Sunbeams activities with her. Thank you very much for taking the time out to come and meet us Mrs Steward – some of us will look forward to seeing you again at ‘big’ school on Friday 4th July!
You may have noticed some building work taking place over the weekend if you were passing – we are delighted that work on the new outdoor canopy has started. The canopy will provide a permanent covered outdoor area for the children to play in and will enable us to offer more flexible opportunities for free flow between the two main areas of the pre-school.
This is how it is shaping up so far –
We will of course keep you updated on the progress.
Finally, the letters of the week (week beginning 30th June) are W and X – how many Xylophones do you think the staff would like to hear playing in unison…;) Good luck with finding something to show and tell!
